You can check out full rosters for the Orange & White spring game here. Congratulations to Mansa Joseph, Shawn Leonard-Horwith, and Brock Henderson who will all be playing for the Orange team.
We’ve moved the site over from blogger and this will be our new home one the internet! You can find all sorts of links in the sidebar as well as archives and a searchbar. Most importantly, you can find our updates via the CCFB Twitter feed so you can keep track of our practices/meetings/workouts etc. That way if they get cancelled, moved, etc. you can just check here. You can also find out all sorts of info in the tabs section just below the header towards the upper right hand corner of this page.
The boys in orange pulled out a tough win over a physical Tarheel team on October 28th, winning 39-15. The passing attack, led by quarterback Scott Anderson, and the running attack led by Tom McCarthy and Branden Burroughs were clicking on all cylinders. The win gave Clemson home field advantage for the SCCFA championship game this Sunday against UNC.
The South Alabama game was canceled due to several scheduling conflicts and in observance of the six students from USC and the Clemson student that died in a beach house fire the previous Sunday.
On November 11th, the Tigers pulled above .500 with a solid win over an athletic Georgia State squad, winning 58 – 16. The Tigers came out a little slow, but once the defense set the tone with three picks including one for a touchdown as well as a fumble recovery for a touchdown, the game was sealed. Good luck to Georgia State in the remainder of their schedule. Oh, and remember to wish head coach Patrick Sapp a happy birthday when you see him.
The Tigers dropped a close one to Averett University (D3) this past Sunday, 26-30. Clemson stayed tied with Averett most of the first half but trailed 13-23 at the half. The Tigers rallied in the second half, taking the lead 26-23. They kept the lead and held the Cougars scoreless until the last minute and a half in the game. The Tigers drove the ball back to midfield but were unable to score in the remaining seconds of the game. Pictures to come soon.
Congratulations to the team for traveling to Atlanta and beating Georgia State by a final score of 61-18. The performance showcased the most points a Clemson Club Football team has ever scored against any opponent dating back to the 80s. Next up for the Tigers is an open date followed by another week off for Fall Break. The team returns to action traveling up to Averette (Division III) to play their Freshman/Sophomore team the week after Fall Break. Check out the facebook group for more pictures of the game. Practice resumes this week on Wednesday. Players, keep an eye on your email for practice times. Once again, congratulations and GO TIGERS!
Former club team receiver Shawn Leonard-Horwith is officially on the Clemson roster. He’s listed as a Redshirt Freshman Wide Receiver. He is number 39. He got to dress out and run down the hill etc. against Furman. Check out his profile here. Congratulations Shawn!
Sadly, we lost to UNC this past Sunday. The Tarheels had a few big plays including a long run on a draw and a fourth quarter deep touchdown pass. A blocked Clemson field goal and subsequent UNC score ended the game. Practice is tonight at 7:30 at the club fields. Players should dress out in shells (Helmet/shoulder pads).

One more thing I forgot to mention, if any of you have any friends that would want to play in the fall. Let me know as soon as possible, so that I can contact them and give them the information they need, and so I have a better grasp on the number of players we are going to have this fall. Thanks.
Hey guys,
So far, I have received dues payments from:
Tom McCarthy
George Fogle
Drew Emry
Jeff Denton
Wes Padgett
Today’s workout was the first one of the summer. Thanks to everybody that showed up: Darius Morgan, David Johnson, Ben Simmons, Chris Jenkins, Blake Teasley, Will McCameron, Jon Austin.
I talked with Coach Sapp today, and he is looking forward to the season and working with everybody. I am meeting with him this week to install new terminology to the playbook. As soon as I meet with him, I will type up a document with all of the terminology you need to be familiar with for the first couple of practices. It may seem confusing at first, but it will become second nature quickly.
Everybody continue lifting weights and try to get a little bit of running in. A lot of you I have not heard from in a while, and I would like to at least hear something from you. Also send in your dues as SOON as you can. See you all August 20th!
Scott Anderson
